About The Process

The basic steps involved in creating your new countertops

There are four major steps to completing your project - pricing, templating, fabricating, and installing.

Pricing - To provide you with accurate pricing, we need your cabinet layout (including all dimensions), countertop overhangs and all window, door, and wall locations. We need to know what material you will be using, the height of your backsplashes (if any), the type of sink(s) you will be using, and any other cutouts needed (like drop-in cooktops or electrical outlets). We also need to know if the countertops will be receiving any special surface or edge treatment.

Templating - We make a physical pattern of the countertop area we will be fabricating and installing. It is important that you have your Genuine Stone® slabs selected prior to the template or pattern-making step. The size of slab is information our templater needs - it helps him determine seam placement. We also need to have your sinks and faucets on-site at the time of template.

Fabricating - We invite you to participate in placing the template on your material if your stone has "movement" (inconsistent patterning). Many of our customers appreciate being able to take part in this important step in the fabrication process. The templates are placed on the material; our sawyer cuts the slabs to size and our fabricators finish according to the details on the templates.

Installing - Our professional installation team delivers your countertops, dry fits them to ensure the best possible placement, makes any fine adjustments, then adheres the tops in place. Sinks, if any, are attached to the countertop, and the necessary holes are drilled. We clean the countertops, seal them if necessary, clean up the work site, and leave you to admire your beautiful new countertops!

We guarantee our workmanship for one year. Some countertop materials carry with them a lifetime warranty as well.
