Natural granite is one of earth’s hardest stones.


About 2/3 of the world’s granite is quarried in the countries of Brazil, China, and India.


The balance, and some of the most exotic colors, come from Argentina, Australia, Canada, Egypt, France, Germany, Greece, Iran, Israel, Italy, Jamaica, Mexico, Portugal, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Spain, Taiwan, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States, and Vietnam.


There are hundreds of colors of granite to choose from. Many have patterns and colors unique to that particular slab.


Granite ranked #1 in cleanability when compared to six surfaces, including stainless steel.


Granite is frequently less expensive than its quartz counterpart.

Contrary to widely spread reports, independent scientific studies conducted over the years have found granite countertops are not known to pose a health risk to consumers. These findings are supported by the U.S. government.

 

Granite is an excellent choice for kitchen countertops, floors, and other heavily used surfaces.
