About Quartz

Answers to frequently asked questions about Quartz

All Quartz slabs are made using the same patented process. When selecting a Quartz product, color is the important factor.

Quartz slabs are 93% natural crushed quartz, reclaimed from granite quarries and waste from the stone slab manufacturing process.

Quartz is impermeable, stain and scratch resistant. Because of its non-porous nature, it is highly germ resistant and cleans easily with soap and water.

You do not seal Quartz countertops.

There are over 40 manufacturers of Quartz slabs world-wide. The best known brands are:

Caesarstone (Israel),

Cambria (Minnesota),

DalTile One (Chekoslovakia),

Hanstone (Korea and Ontario),

LG Viatara (Italy),

Silestone (Spain),

DuPont Zodiaq (Quebec)
